Steph and I had a lovely meeting this afternoon with John Wyatt discussing all things avian. John has worked extensively on birds in ancient Egypt and his ornithological knowledge is an asset to the discipline. We were able to share with him some of our findings relating to the museum specimens we have studied and also our experimental bird mummy.
It is lovely to meet new people who share our common interest in studying the wildlife of ancient Egypt. We hope to work closely with John in the coming months to promote our mutual interest to the wider academic and lay communities. Watch this space!
